Views of Christ 06-29-19

Good morning everyone. Oh give thanks unto the Lord for He is good yes He is good and worthy of our praise. Though my body may be weary from lack of rest, I yet must do the work that God assigned me to do so I’m about to get busy. How about you?

Today’s Prayer

Father, when we find ourselves in serious opposition to another’s thinking, be it a spouse, a relative, companions at work or church, friends or others, help us to realize that You don’t want us to give up our convictionswhen they are in accordance with Your Word; rather You do expect us to show “Christian love” kindness, friendliness, and understanding. However, You expect us to make the first move toward reconciliation! You want us to do what we can to restore broken relationships! Help us to do this, Lord. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.

Let’s eat.

Threefold View of Christ

Christ on the Cross

John 19:17-19

Carrying the cross by himself, he went to the place called Place of the Skull (in Hebrew, Golgotha). There they nailed him to the cross. Two others were crucified with him, one on either side, with Jesus between them. And Pilate posted a sign over him that read, “Jesus of Nazareth, the King of the Jews.”

Dying; Christ on the Throne

New Living Translation

Hebrews 10:12

Under the old covenant, the priest stands and ministers before the altar day after day, offering the same sacrifices again and again, which can never take away sins. But our High Priest offered himself to God as a single sacrifice for sins, good for all time. Then he sat down in the place of honor at God’s right hand. There he waits until his enemies are humbled and made a footstool under his feet. For by that one offering he forever made perfect those who are being made holy.

Living; Christ in the Heart

Ephesians 3:14-17

When I think of all this, I fall to my knees and pray to the Father, the Creator of everything in heaven and on earth. I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit. Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong.

Quote of the Day
