(CLICK THE PICTURE) Good morning everyone. Oh give thanks unto the Lord for He is good, yes He is good. Yes He is worthy of all our love and praise. I was in a meeting a couple nights ago and a very touchy subject was put on the table for discussion. The atmosphere quickly changed from pleasant to bitter as things from the past were brought to light. It reminded me of a message I shared a while back that I think needs to be repeated so here we go. Let it bless you.
Today’s Prayer
Father, the bible tells us that Jesus is the vine, and we are the branches. We want to abide in Him and Him in us, so that we will bear much fruit, for without Him, we can do nothing. If we abide in Him and Your words abide in us, we will ask what we desire, and it shall be done for us. We pray that Your desires will be our desires; that Your Word will be held close in our hearts. By this You are glorified, that we bear much fruit, so we will be Your disciples. Thank You for loving us and accepting us as Your children and disciples. We pray that we will always remain full of Your joy and love others as You have loved us. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.

The Root of Bitterness
Here I go again folks. I get a revelation from something the enemy tries to put into my life and I get to share what I get from the word and what it has to say about the situation. I was confronted by one of my demons from the past and I almost immediately started to get bitter when the Holy Spirit reminded me that I am a man of God and to get over it.
See to it that no one misses the grace of God and that no bitter root grows up to cause trouble and defile many. – Hebrews 12:15
The enemy of our souls has a very specific strategy to destroy us and any of our relationships. Whether these relationships are in business, marriage, or friendships, the strategy is the same. A conflict arises, judgments are made, and feelings are hurt. What happens next is the defining point of whether the enemy gains a foothold, or the grace of God covers the wrong. When a root of bitterness is allowed to be planted and grown in our lives, it not only affects us, but it also affects all others who are involved with us. It’s like a cancer.
Breaking the enemies foothold requires at least one person to press into God’s grace. It can’t happen when either party “feels” like it, for none of us will ever feel like forgiving. None of us feel like talking when we have been hurt. Our natural response is to withdraw or lash out at the offending party. It is only obedience that allows God’s grace to cover the wrongs incurred. This grace prevents the parties from becoming victims who will seek compensation for their pain.
The next time you are hurt by someone, realize the gravity of the crossroads where you find yourself. Choose grace instead of bitterness. Then you will be free to move past the hurt, and a root of bitterness will not be given opportunity to grow.
