ALL ABOUT THE ROCK 02-03-22

_ 081414 It's all about jesus

Oh give thanks unto the Lord for He is good yes He is good and worthy of our praise. The focus this morning is on the word “Rock”. It’s very fresh in my mind and I wanted to share with all of you. Stay blessed.

Today’s Prayer

Father, “we asked for strength, that we might achieve; we were made weak, that we might learn humbly to obey.” How often when we are weak we find ourselves forced to turn to You, to wait upon You. It is then in the quietness of one’s “being alone” that one senses Your presence, and Your comforting assurance and peace. It is then that one learns, as the Apostle Paul did, that our weakness is Your opportunity to show Your strength, and that Your strength is indeed sufficient for our needs! Once we discover this, and seek to learn Your will, we have only to obey. Forgive us, Lord, for running ahead of You, and thinking that we can manage our lives without You. In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.

Let’s eat.

Christ, the Rock

Rock of Salvation

Psalm 89:26-27 –

And he will call out to me, ‘You are my Father, my God, and the Rock of my salvation.’ I will make him my firstborn son, the mightiest king on earth.

For the Lost; Rock of Refuges

Psalm 94:22-23 –

But the Lord is my fortress; my God is the mighty rock where I hide. God will turn the sins of evil people back on them. He will destroy them for their sins. The Lord our God will destroy them.

For the Exposed; Rock of Rest

Isaiah 32:2 –

Look, a righteous king is coming! And honest princes will rule under him. Each one will be like a shelter from the wind and a refuge from the storm, like streams of water in the desert and the shadow of a great rock in a parched land.

For the Weary; Rock of Refreshment

Isaiah 48:21 –

They were not thirsty when he led them through the desert. He divided the rock, and water gushed out for them to drink. “But there is no peace for the wicked,” says the Lord.

Where so ever God may lead you, there you will find Him, in the most harassing business, as in the most tranquil prayer. ~Francois Fenelon~
