Calling Out To The Lord 08-19-21

I have a question to ask; where did the summer go? I looked up and it was gone. Young people are already starting school. I ask that you join me in prayer for our students.

Today’s Prayer

Father, I pray for all the students who have just started back to school, or who will be starting back to school within the next couple weeks. This is a time of butterflies in the stomach, new opportunities, new friends, new challenges…well, You know. I pray for peace and calmness, wisdom and direction, smooth transitions, positive attitudes, willingness to learn, acceptance of others, boldness to do what is right, courage to stand firm on convictions, safety and protection from all harm and evil, blessings for those who are Your children, positive influences, Christian testimonies and outreach to those who do not know You, insight and knowledge, help and quick learning to find their way around the school, and eyes to see the lessons You would have them learn for every student. GOD, I also pray for those who are in new schools, that the right friends will befriend them and that they will feel accepted and welcome, greeting others with a warm smile and exuding the joy and love of the Lord wherever they go and whatever they do. May all Christians be an example and show Your love as living testimonies in the world around them. Thank You, God, for hearing my prayer. In JESUS’ name I pray, Amen.

Let’s eat.

Psalm 13

1
O LORD, how long will you forget me? Forever? How long will you look the other way?

2
How long must I struggle with anguish in my soul, with sorrow in my heart every day? How long will my enemy have the upper hand?

3
Turn and answer me, O LORD my God! Restore the light to my eyes, or I will die.

4
Don’t let my enemies gloat, saying, “We have defeated him!” Don’t let them rejoice at my downfall.

5
But I trust in your unfailing love. I will rejoice because you have rescued me.

6
I will sing to the LORD because he has been so good to me.

If the spiritual life be healthy, under the full power of the Holy Spirit, praying without ceasing will be natural. ~Andrew Murray~
