DIFFERENT DAYS 03-19-23

_ 120214 Raiment

Oh give thanks unto the Lord, for He is good yes He is good and He is worthy of all our praise. I thank the Lord for this day. There has never been one like it and we should treat it as such. It’s brand spanking new and full of potential. Use it to the glory of God.

Today’s Prayer

Most Gracious Heavenly Father, Your Son has set us an example in John 5:19 by saying: “Truly, truly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself unless it is something He sees the Father doing; for whatever the Father does, these things the Son also does in like manner.” How often have we said “Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven” in reciting Your Prayer on Sunday, and then failed to seek and follow Your will for us each day? Help us this Lenten Season to truly want to re-commit our lives to following Your Son’s example, so that both Your sacrifice and His will not have been in vain! If each of us who call ourselves Christians, around the world, would daily seek Your guidance and follow it, we could make Your world more as You have envisioned it! Help each of us, with Your love to want to make and live up to this commitment each day! In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.

Let’s eat.

DIFFERENT DAYS

Day of Salvation

2 Corinthians 6:2 –

As God’s partners, we beg you not to accept this marvelous gift of God’s kindness and then ignore it. For God says, “At just the right time, I heard you. On the day of salvation, I helped you.” Indeed, the “right time” is now. Today is the day of salvation.

Day of Gospel Grace; Day of Privilege

Luke 19:42-44 –

“How I wish today that you of all people would understand the way to peace. But now it is too late, and peace is hidden from your eyes. Before long your enemies will build ramparts against your walls and encircle you and close in on you from every side. They will crush you into the ground, and your children with you. Your enemies will not leave a single stone in place, because you did not accept your opportunity for salvation.”

Day of God’s Power; Day of Judgment

2 Peter 2:9-10 –

So you see, the Lord knows how to rescue godly people from their trials, even while keeping the wicked under punishment until the day of final judgment. He is especially hard on those who follow their own twisted sexual desire, and who despise authority. These people are proud and arrogant, daring even to scoff at supernatural beings without so much as trembling.

Day of Reckoning; Day of Perdition

2 Peter 3:5-7 –

They deliberately forget that God made the heavens by the word of his command, and he brought the earth out from the water and surrounded it with water. Then he used the water to destroy the ancient world with a mighty flood. And by the same word, the present heavens and earth have been stored up for fire. They are being kept for the Day of Judgment, when ungodly people will be destroyed.

Quote of the Day

We are supernatural people, born again by a supernatural birth, kept by a supernatural power, sustained on supernatural food, taught by a supernatural Teacher from a supernatural Book. We are led by a supernatural Captain in right paths to assured victories. The risen Savior, ere He ascended on high, said: ‘All power is given unto Me. Go ye therefore.” ~James Hudson Taylor~
