The Finger prints of God 12-13-17

Good morning everyone. Rejoice in the Lord always and again I say rejoice. Just praise Him because He’s God. Today’s prayer comes from where I’m at right now. It may not have anything to do with where you are.

Today’s Prayer

(A personal prayer)

Father, Thank You that I am still alive and able to enjoy this day You have given me. Would You do me a favor? Show me how well I am doing in keeping my word and my commitments. Examine the desires of my heart, the words of my mouth, and the actions I take (or don’t take). Do I follow through like I should? Do I keep my commitments? Please help me to be trustworthy and dependable. Please forgive me where I have fallen short. Help me to not over commit myself and to think and pray before I speak and make commitments. May my thoughts, words, and actions bring glory to You and not disappointment or shame. I trust You and commit my thought life to You as well as my eyes, mouth, hands, and feet, that they may be about Your business. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.

Let’s eat.

The Finger prints of God

Throughout the Bible, the word testimony is used in many ways. Testimony comes from the Hebrew word eduwth, which means “witness.” The Ark of the Covenant contained the Ten Commandments, written and inscribed personally by God and given to Moses on Mount Sinai. These became known as the testimony. The ark was a divinely inspired structure that was to be used as a witness to the people of Israel and the whole world of God’s power and majesty. These divinely created tablets were a witness of God’s activity on earth with man.

When the Lord finished speaking to Moses on Mount Sinai, He gave him the two tablets of the Testimony, the tablets of stone inscribed by the finger of God. – Exodus 31:18

Throughout the Bible, God looked to create testimonies with His people. At the Red Sea, He created a testimony through Moses. He created a testimony through Joshua when He parted the Jordan River and allowed the people with the Ark to cross on dry land. When Lazarus lay dead for days, Jesus came and created a testimony of His ability to raise the dead.

He is still looking for those who are willing to have a testimony created through their lives. One of the major characteristics of a God-ordained testimony is for something to happen that cannot be explained in the natural. In other words, if you can make it happen through your abilities, it is not a testimony about God, but about you.

The Lord made a testimony out of my nephew CJ Drake a few years ago. He was in a bad accident and the doctors gave the family little hope, but God said no. They came back and said that he couldn’t breathe on his own because of damage to both lungs. They said that they needed to open him up to repair them. God said no. They said that he would be in a rehabilitation center for weeks. God said no. God healed all of the things that the doctors said they needed to repair and my nephew walked to the vehicle that took him home. He did outpatient rehab. Look at God.

God wants to create a testimony in every aspect of your life, your family, your work, your church, and in your community. He is waiting to put His finger prints on your next endeavor to reveal His power through your life. Look carefully at the events where God might want to create a testimony out of an impossible situation. He delights in using His children for this purpose because it brings Him glory.

Quote of the Day

Father, in the name of Jesus, I make a fresh commitment to You to live in peace and harmony, not only with other brothers and sisters in the Body of Christ, but also with my friends, associates, neighbors and family that don’t know you. I let go of bitterness, resentment, envying, strife and unkindness in any form.
