Four Reigns 01-20-20

Good morning everyone. On this day in the Chicago land area, we woke to another dusting of snow, but we that are searching to see the face of God have the assurance that He will be with us in every step we take and every move we make, so we should have no fear. Keep that in the forefront of your mind as you go forward today and everyday.

Today’s Prayer

Father, I come to you this morning standing in the gap for your children everywhere as I ask that you would forgive us for trusting in our own intelligence and doubting Yours. We seem to have no misgivings about the things that we have reasoned out, but we have trouble trusting and believing in Your almighty power apart from our finite understanding. Oh Father, help us to accept You as a Sovereign Being, fully knowledgeable and worthy of our complete trust! We will be careful to give you all honor and glory in Jesus name, Amen and Amen.

Let’s eat.

Four Reigns

Death reigned

Romans 5:12-14

When Adam sinned, sin entered the world. Adam’s sin brought death, so death spread to everyone, for everyone sinned. Yes, people sinned even before the law was given. But it was not counted as sin because there was not yet any law to break. Still, everyone died—from the time of Adam to the time of Moses—even those who did not disobey an explicit commandment of God, as Adam did. Now Adam is a symbol, a representation of Christ, who was yet to come.

From Adam to Moses; Law reigned

Galatians 3:23-24

Before the way of faith in Christ was available to us, we were placed under guard by the law. We were kept in protective custody, so to speak, until the way of faith was revealed.  Let me put it another way. The law was our guardian until Christ came; it protected us until we could be made right with God through faith.

Moses to Christ; Grace Reigns

Romans 5:21

So just as sin ruled over all people and brought them to death, now God’s wonderful grace rules instead, giving us right standing with God and resulting in eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

In this age; Righteousness will reign

Isaiah 32:1-2

Look, a righteous king is coming! And honest princes will rule under him. Each one will be like a shelter from the wind and a refuge from the storm, like streams of water in the desert and the shadow of a great rock in a parched land.

Quote of the Day

It would be easier, I sometimes think, if God had given us a set of ideas to mull over and kick around and decide whether to accept or reject. He did not. His gave us Himself in the form of a Person.
