FOUR STEPS IN A SINNER’S HISTORY 01-07-19

Good day to ya everyone. As I sit here I thank God for another day and another chance to be used in the forward movement of the kingdom. Please remember what we were created for my friends.

Today’s Prayer

Dear Lord, as we begin to live out this New Year ahead, let us not forget to pray for our nation. More and more we see emphasis being placed on the secular, on the material, and we realize that we are being forced as a nation, and as individuals, to live beyond our means. Let us stop and ask ourselves, “In whom do we believe, and what do we believe?” Help us to ponder these words: “When a man ceases to believe in God, he doesn’t believe in nothing, he believes in anything!” We pray that those in leadership positions will lead this country back to our Christian roots, for fear that they make a god of diversity, and we as a nation desert You, and You desert us! Remind us that freedom has its boundaries, and that these boundaries are determined by whatever we as a nation commit ourselves to! Oh Lord, let us pray each day that we and our leaders will commit ourselves to You. In the wonderful name of Jesus we pray, Amen.

Let’s eat.

Four Steps in a Sinner’s History

(Isaiah 6:1-4)

1 It was in the year King Uzziah died that I saw the Lord. He was sitting on a lofty throne, and the train of his robe filled the Temple. 2 Attending him were mighty seraphim, each having six wings. With two wings they covered their faces, with two they covered their feet, and with two they flew. 3 They were calling out to each other,
“Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of Heaven’s Armies!
The whole earth is filled with his glory!”
4 Their voices shook the Temple to its foundations, and the entire building was filled with smoke.

Convicted of sin

Isaiah 6:5-6

Then I said, “It’s all over! I am doomed, for I am a sinful man. I have filthy lips, and I live among a people with filthy lips. Yet I have seen the King, the Lord of Heaven’s Armies.” Then one of the seraphim flew to me with a burning coal he had taken from the altar with a pair of tongs.

The Action of the Light Cleansed from sin

Isaiah 6:7

He touched my lips with it and said, “See, this coal has touched your lips. Now your guilt is removed, and your sins are forgiven.”

The Result of Sacrifice Consecrated to God

Isaiah 6:8

Then I heard the Lord asking, “Whom should I send as a messenger to this people? Who will go for us?” I said, “Here I am. Send me.”

Effect of Conversion Commissioned by God

Isaiah 6:9

And he said, “Yes, go, and say to this people, ‘Listen carefully, but do not understand. Watch closely, but learn nothing.’

Quote of the Day
