GIVE THANKS 03-09-23

Praise God for who He is; God all by Himself. He is not moved by our circumstances or desperation. He is moved by obedience, praise, faith and love.

Today’s Prayer

Father, we ask for strength, and You give us difficulties that require strength. We pray for courage, and You give us dangers to overcome. We ask for favors, and You give us opportunities. We pray for patience, and You lead us into a traffic tie-up, but You never forsake us. Your love surrounds us, and You give us both encouragement and hope. Help us remember times in the past when You have stood by us, comforted us, strengthened us, healed us, and blessed us. Thank You, Lord, and help us be a blessing to others, that they may want to know You. In matchless name of Jesus we pray, Amen.

Let’s eat.

Give Thanks

As you read the following scripture, know that if you have made Jesus the Lord Of your Life, this is also speaking to you.

1 Chronicles 16:8-15

Give thanks to the Lord and proclaim his greatness. Let the whole world know what he has done. Sing to him; yes, sing his praises. Tell everyone about his wonderful deeds. Exult in his holy name; rejoice, you who worship the Lord. Search for the Lord and for his strength; continually seek him. Remember the wonders he has performed, his miracles, and the rulings he has given, you children of his servant Israel, you descendants of Jacob, his chosen ones. He is the Lord our God. His justice is seen throughout the land. Remember his covenant forever—the commitment he made to a thousand generations.

Quote of the Day

The way to stimulate and provoke others unto good works is to strive to outrun them in the race. The way to rebuke the cold and indifferent is to be always full of zeal and ‘abounding in the work of the Lord’ yourself. Men will be much more ready to answer a call to come up to your level, than a command to advance beyond you. ~Anonymous~
