Good day to ya and praise the Lord for mercy and grace. I just recently had a new believer ask me about following the Ten Commandments. I had to remind him what Jesus did for us on the cross and the one great commandment He left with us. I will share the supporting scripture but first let’s pray.
TODAY’S PRAYER
Father, Thank You for being a long-suffering, forgiving God. You are so merciful. I pray for understanding and humbleness, that I will never “cast stones” at others who have certain problems, past sins, different opinions or are struggling with overcoming sins and issues. Remind me to pray for them to help them in any way possible. Help me to see my own shortcomings and work on myself, rather than condemn others. Help me to see sin as sin, but to also see people as imperfect beings who need encouragement and who need Your mercy–just like I do. Please forgive me of ever looking down on anyone for their situations or conditions. May I see others through the eyes of Jesus. In His name I pray, Amen.

THE ONE COMMANDMENT
Galatians 5:13-18
For you have been called to live in freedom, my brothers and sisters. But don’t use your freedom to satisfy your sinful nature. Instead, use your freedom to serve one another in love. For the whole law can be summed up in this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” But if you are always biting and devouring one another, watch out! Beware of destroying one another. So I say, let the Holy Spirit guide your lives. Then you won’t be doing what your sinful nature craves. The sinful nature wants to do evil, which is just the opposite of what the Spirit wants. And the Spirit gives us desires that are the opposite of what the sinful nature desires. These two forces are constantly fighting each other, so you are not free to carry out your good intentions. But when you are directed by the Spirit, you are not under obligation to the law of Moses.
