I still have the thought of my experience of being introduced to Global Media Outreach Ministries yesterday on my mine. It prompts me to think about when I had my first introduction to Jesus and the impact it had on me. I would love to tell you that it was a very positive experience but I would not be telling the truth. It really scared me because it was from a point of view that really was not positive and I ran for a long while. Oh I professed the knowledge of God but that’s where it stopped for some time. Then I went on a journey to find the truth and I opened up the bible for myself and stopped taking someone else’s word for what was inside. This is the scripture that sealed it for me as a 13 year old child:

Genesis 1
King James Version
1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. 2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. 3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. 4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. 5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.

Now you’re probably wondering how that could lead me to believing and accepting Jesus as my Lord and savior. This scripture told me that EVERYTHING GOD CREATED WAS GOOD and that was enough to light the fire in my spirit.
