God’s Proving Ground for Faith 11-15-16

1 Faith 052113

(CLICK THE TITLE) Good morning everyone. Oh give thanks unto the Lord, for He is good yes He is good. Life in the light is a wonderful thing. It’s our job to spread that light wherever we go.

Today’s Prayer

Father, I come to you this morning on behalf of my brothers and sisters in Christ, praising Your holy name and asking you to supernaturally intervene, on behalf of your children all over the world. Set apart and raise up mighty men and women of faith then send them evangelizing and making disciples of all nations for your glory! We need a spiritual awakening and outpouring of your Holy Spirit clearly evidenced in your people. I beg you Lord to give your children deliverance from bondage of those who are evil. Raise them up to be your mighty warriors who your Hand lays on.  May we be the vessels you work through strengthening the believers and converting the lost. “I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, that you should not be their slaves; I have broken the bands of your yoke and made you walk upright.”  Leviticus 26:13. May this be the cry of your people, In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen!

Let’s eat.

God’s Proving Ground for Faith

He did this only to teach warfare to the descendants of the Israelites who had not had previous battle experience. – Judges 3:2

The Bible tells us that God brought the nation of Israel into the Promised Land of Canaan through Joshua. After Joshua, there came an entire generation who had very little experience in fighting battles like the ones fought by Joshua. Training and testing His people is one of God’s important strategies that enable His children to succeed in spiritual warfare. This is why we don’t live a life free of trials. These trials are sent specifically to see if our faith is real or simply empty words. In other words; are we going to put up or shut up?

“They were left to test the Israelites to see whether they would obey the Lord’s commands, which He had given their forefathers through Moses” (Judges 3:4).

God allows circumstances to develop around our lives to give our faith opportunity to be proven. It is only when we are tested in battle that we become skilled warriors. You can be confident God will allow trials to come our way through situations like an unreasonable boss, a person who refuses to pay you money owed to you, a false assault on your character, or a difficult relationship that requires unconditional love. These battles are sent our way to test what we know in our minds in order that they might become part of your heart.

You will discover if you have passed the tests or if you need more battles that will give you the opportunity to learn the art of spiritual warfare. Don’t fear these battles that are before you. God has already given you the victory if you choose complete dependence and obedience to Him. Then you will become one of God’s greatest warriors, skilled in spiritual warfare.

Quote of the Day

God is seeking men and women of reckless faith today…to be reckless in your faith does not mean to be unthinking, but the reverse – concentrated, single-minded in your concern that God should be glorified and souls won.
