God’s Proving Ground for Faith 11-11-19

Good day everyone. As a special request I would like to ask that you all would put up prayers for all veterans and those that are still fighting so that we might enjoy the freedoms that we take for granted.

I dedicate this message to all veterans and especially my brothers, 1st Sgt. Jeffery Emerson Caradine(retired) and Chief Ronald A. Carson(retired). God has a legion of angels watching over all of you.

I was going through a group of my bible notes that I keep like a diary when I came upon this message that I wrote some years ago and it is as striking today as it was when I put it together originally. It really speaks to me in a powerful way and I’m going to share it again.

Today’s Prayer

Father, We join together united in Christ, asking you to supernaturally intervene, on behalf of your children all over the world. Set apart and raise up mighty men and women of faith then send them evangelizing and making disciples of all nations for Your glory. We need a spiritual awakening and outpouring of your Holy Spirit clearly evidenced in your people. We beg you Lord to give your children deliverance from bondage of those who are evil. Raise up your mighty warriors who Your hand lay on.  May we be the vessels you work through strengthening the believers and converting the lost. “I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, that you should not be their slaves; I have broken the bands of your yoke and made you walk upright.”  Leviticus 26:13 May this be the cry of your people, In JESUS’ name we pray, Amen.

Let’s eat.

God’s Proving Ground for Faith

He did this only to teach warfare to the descendants of the Israelites who had not had previous battle experience.Judges 3:2

The Bible tells us that God brought the nation of Israel into the Promised Land of Canaan through Joshua. After Joshua, there came an entire generation who had very little experience in fighting battles like the ones fought by Joshua. Training and testing His people is one of God’s important strategies that enable His children to succeed in spiritual warfare. This is why we don’t live a life free of trials. These trials are sent specifically to see if our faith is real or simply empty words.

“They were left to test the Israelites to see whether they would obey the Lord’s commands, which He had given their forefathers through Moses” (Judges 3:4).

God allows circumstances to develop around our lives to give our faith opportunity to be proven. It is only when we are tested in battle that we become skilled warriors. You can be confident God will allow trials to come our way through situations like an unreasonable boss, a client who refuses to pay, a false assault on your character, or a difficult relationship that requires unconditional love. These battles are sent our way to test what we know in our minds in order that they might become part of your heart.

You will discover if you have passed the tests or if you need more battles that will give you the opportunity to learn the art of spiritual warfare. Don’t fear these battles that are before you. God has already given you the victory if you choose complete dependence and obedience to Him. Then you will become one of God’s greatest warriors, skilled in spiritual warfare.

Quote of the Day

God has given us two ears, but one tongue, to show that we should be swift to hear, but slow to speak. God has set a double fence before the tongue, the teeth and the lips, to teach us to be wary that we offend not with our tongue.
