As I sat down to begin this message the word “receiver” popped into my head. So staying in the spirit I let it lead me to scripture to share. Today I’m going to present the positive side and tomorrow I will present the opposite view of things. Let it bless you.

Today’s Prayer

Father, in this New Year ahead, let us not forget that a song isn’t our song until we sing it, our joy isn’t complete unless we can share it, and our love isn’t real love until we give it away! Oh Lord, help us to see that it is in giving that we receive; that if we try to keep everything to our selves we will smother both Your light and ours. Help us to remember these things and to let others see You through us. In the wonderful name of Jesus we pray, Amen.

Their Present Blessings and Prospects

They are justified

Acts 13:39

Everyone who trusts in him is freed from all guilt and declared righteous–something the Jewish law could never do.

Through Christ They are saved

Ephesians 2:9

Salvation is not a reward for the good we have done, so none of us can take any credit for it.

By Christ They have everlasting life

John 3:16

For God loved the world so much that he gave his only Son so that anyone who believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

In Christ They look for glory

Titus 2:13

Looking forward to that wonderful time we’ve been expecting, when his glory shall be seen–the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ.
