What a great time it is in our lives as Christians to spread the good news. The world around us is falling more out of the favor of God every minute. They have taken Him out of the schools where He is needed desperately. Then they wonder why the youth of today have no morals. We need to get to work more than ever.

Today’s Prayer

Father, help us to realize that when we accept Your forgiveness for our sins, even though we need no longer to be haunted by guilt, this doesn’t eliminate the results of our sins. We may have to deal with the results for a long time; perhaps forever. Cause us to stop and think before we carelessly or purposely depart from Your ways. Draw us closer, Lord, and protect us from ourselves. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.

Let’s eat.

Let’s Praise Him

Psalm 146

1 Praise the LORD! Praise the LORD, I tell myself.

2 I will praise the LORD as long as I live. I will sing praises to my God even with my dying breath.

3 Don’t put your confidence in powerful people; there is no help for you there.

4 When their breathing stops, they return to the earth, and in a moment all their plans come to an end.

5 But happy are those who have the God of Israel as their helper, whose hope is in the LORD their God.

6 He is the one who made heaven and earth, the sea, and everything in them. He is the one who keeps every promise forever,

7 who gives justice to the oppressed and food to the hungry.
The LORD frees the prisoners.

8 The LORD opens the eyes of the blind. The LORD lifts the burdens of those bent beneath their loads. The LORD loves the righteous.

9 The LORD protects the foreigners among us. He cares for the orphans and widows, but he frustrates the plans of the wicked.

10 The LORD will reign forever. O Jerusalem, your God is King in every generation! Praise the LORD!

Quote of the Day

When prayer is a struggle, do not worry about the prayers that you cannot pray. You yourself are a prayer to God at that moment. All that is within you cries out to Him. And he hears all the pleas that your suffering soul and body are making to Him with groanings which cannot be uttered. ~Ole Kristian O. Hallesby~
