The last few days I’ve not been getting the proper amount of sleep and my body is really in need of rest. Of course the spiritual side of me took over and led me to some good scripture which I will share with you today. Let it bless you.

Today’s Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father, there are days when we as your children are surrounded by confusion, false propaganda, misinformation, lies, deceit and hypocrisy in both politics and religion. More than ever, we need the guidance of the Holy Spirit to lead us into all truth and show us any errors in our thinking, as Jesus promised to do if I would ask. Lord, we’re asking:” Let Your Holy Spirit fill us* — spirit, soul, and body — for fear that we unknowingly fall into Satan’s traps.” It’s in the wonderful name of Jesus we present this and all things, Amen.

Let’s eat.

Threefold Rest

Rest for the Sinner

Matthew 11:28

Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.

In Christ’s Work; Rest for the Saint

Matthew 11:29

Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls.

Under Christ’s Yoke; Rest for the Servant

Mark 6:30-31

The apostles returned to Jesus from their ministry tour and told him all they had done and taught. 31 Then Jesus said, “Let’s go off by ourselves to a quiet place and rest awhile.” He said this because there were so many people coming and going that Jesus and his apostles didn’t even have time to eat.

Quote of the Day

Christ is in all His redeemed, as the soul of their soul, the life of their life. He is the pitying heart and the helping hand of God with every needy, praying spirit in the world. He is the sweet light of the knowledge of God that breaks in upon every penitent heart. He is not only with those who believe in Him and love Him, but also with those who neither believe in Him nor love Him, that He may be to them also Jesus their Saviour. The Christ of God is in thy heart, waiting and aiming to get the consent of thy will, that He may save thee. Wherever man is, there also is Christ, endeavoring to free him from the law of sin and death, by becoming Himself the law of the spirit of his life. ~John Pulsford~
