LET THAT ALONE 09/17/16

_-091716-alone

(CLICK THE TITLE) Good morning everyone. I was sitting here thinking about how I’ve been doing certain things in my personal ministry and I got some stern words of chastisement in my spirit; “let those things alone, it’s time to move on and let them receive what they have coming to them”. Sometimes we hang on to things longer than we should and over step what we were given to do by the Holy Spirit. When we do this, we get in God’s way. Let it alone.

Today’s Prayer

Father, we Your people, who call ourselves Your “church,” find ourselves to be under attack today, both from without and within, with Your deity being questioned, Your sovereignty demeaned, and Your atonement mocked. Help us who have committed ourselves to Jesus as our Lord and Savior and who know You as “the Truth” to stand firmly in Your defense, for fear that the church be redefined to suit the agenda of those who would crucify Jesus again. Oh Lord, we weep at the arrogance of those who want to design their own “gods” to include their pagan beliefs and their favorite sins. Open their eyes and ours before it’s too late. Help us as Christians to first understand Your will, and then help us to have the courage we will need to be obedient to it during the critical times that we may face in the future. We present this and all things to You in the wonderful name of Jesus, Amen and Amen.

Let’s eat.

Some things you must Let Alone

Let them alone

Matthew 15:10-14

Then Jesus called to the crowd to come and hear. “Listen,” he said, “and try to understand. It’s not what goes into your mouth that defiles you; you are defiled by the words that come out of your mouth.” Then the disciples came to him and asked, “Do you realize you offended the Pharisees by what you just said?” Jesus replied, “Every plant not planted by my heavenly Father will be uprooted, so ignore them. They are blind guides leading the blind, and if one blind person guides another, they will both fall into a ditch.”

False Teachers; Let them alone

Luke 13:6-9

Then Jesus told this story: “A man planted a fig tree in his garden and came again and again to see if there was any fruit on it, but he was always disappointed. Finally, he said to his gardener, ‘I’ve waited three years, and there hasn’t been a single fig! Cut it down. It’s just taking up space in the garden.’ “The gardener answered, ‘Sir, give it one more chance. Leave it another year, and I’ll give it special attention and plenty of fertilizer. If we get figs next year, fine. If not, then you can cut it down.’”

Fruitless People; Let them alone

Hosea 4:12-17

They ask a piece of wood for advice! They think a stick can tell them the future! Longing after idols has made them foolish. They have played the prostitute, serving other gods and deserting their God. They offer sacrifices to idols on the mountaintops. They go up into the hills to burn incense in the pleasant shade of oaks, poplars, and terebinth trees. “That is why your daughters turn to prostitution, and your daughters-in-law commit adultery. But why should I punish them for their prostitution and adultery? For your men are doing the same thing, sinning with whores and shrine prostitutes. O foolish people! You refuse to understand, so you will be destroyed. “Though you, Israel, are a prostitute, may Judah avoid such guilt. Do not join the false worship at Gilgal or Beth-aven, even though they take oaths there in the Lord’s name. Israel is stubborn, like a stubborn heifer. So should the Lord feed her like a lamb in a lush pasture? Leave Israel] alone, because she is married to idolatry.

Quote of the Day

The truth will set you free, but first it will make you miserable.
