LIVING THE WORD OF GOD 06-26-16

_ 062616 WOG

(CLICK THE TITLE) Good day everyone. Oh give thanks unto the Lord for He is good yes He is good and worthy of our praise. What I’m going to do is some “in your face and to your spirit teaching” on what we should be doing in ministry leadership. I will now present the effects of the word of God on the believer.

Today’s Prayer

Father, I come before you on behalf of myself and all those reading this message to ask that you please forgive us of all the thing we have done, intentional and unintentional that were not pleasing to you. We only want to be in your will, not against it. Lead us in the way we should move and put Your hedge of protection around us and our families. We bless your Holy Name. I ask this and all things in Jesus’ name, Amen.

Let’s eat.

The Word of God:

It’s Effects on the Believer

Seed to Give Life

1 Peter 1:23

For you have been born again, but not to a life that will quickly end. Your new life will last forever because it comes from the eternal, living word of God.

Receive it

James 1:21

So get rid of all the filth and evil in your lives, and humbly accept the word God has planted in your hearts, for it has the power to save your souls.

Use it

Psalm 119:9-10

How can a young person stay pure? By obeying your word. I have tried hard to find you—don’t let me wander from your commands.

Bread to Strengthen

Jeremiah 15:16

When I discovered your words, I devoured them. They are my joy and my heart’s delight, for I bear your name, O Lord God of Heaven’s Armies.

Eat it

Psalm 1:2

But they delight in the law of the Lord, meditating on it day and night.

Light to Guide

Psalm 119:105

Your word is a lamp to guide my feet and a light for my path.

Walk in it

1 John 1:7

This is the message we heard from Jesus and now declare to you: God is light, and there is no darkness in him at all. So we are lying if we say we have fellowship with God but go on living in spiritual darkness; we are not practicing the truth. But if we are living in the light, as God is in the light, then we have fellowship with each other, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, cleanses us from all sin. If we claim we have no sin, we are only fooling ourselves and not living in the truth. But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness. If we claim we have not sinned, we are calling God a liar and showing that his word has no place in our hearts.

Quote of the Day

The beautiful thing about this adventure called faith is that we can count on Him never to lead us astray.
