The Power of God’s Word 10-16-16

_ 042716 THE WORD

(CLICK THE TITLE) Good morning everyone. Oh give thanks unto the Lord for He is good yes He is good and worthy of our praise! Today I’m going to share 4 scriptures that deal with the power of the word. Let them bless you.

Today’s Prayer

Father, Your Word is a river of life. It satisfies and comforts our souls like a stream in the desert. Please help us to be like the tree planted by the water, with roots that dig down into Your Word and faith that stands strong as the well-rooted tree in the hot and dusty seasons. Bless us, Lord, that we may be a blessing to others. Please guide and direct us in all that we do. Thank you for loving us and providing all we need along the way. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.

Let’s eat.

The Power of God’s Word

It Purifies the Soul

1 Peter 1:22

Now you can have real love for everyone because your souls have been cleansed from selfishness and hatred when you trusted Christ to save you; so see to it that you really do love each other warmly, with all your hearts.

It Feeds the New Life

1 Peter 2:2

Now that you realize how kind the Lord has been to you, put away all evil, deception, envy, and fraud. Long to grow up into the fullness of your salvation; cry for this as a baby cries for his milk.

It Sanctifies the Walk

John 17:17

Make them pure and holy through teaching them your words of truth.

It Enlightens the Path

Psalms 119:105

Your words are a flashlight to light the path ahead of me, and keep me from stumbling.

Quote of the Day

Scarcely any law of our Redeemer is more openly transgressed, or more industriously evaded, than that by which he commands his followers to forgive injuries.
