Spiritual Contracts 04-05-20

Good day everyone and praise the Lord for mercy and grace. Thank Him for all the blessings He has bestowed on us, but thank Him for who He is, God all by Himself. Today we are going to deal with the theme of the “Spirit”. Let it bless you.

Today’s Prayer

Dear Father in Heaven, thank You for blessing us and providing for us, that we may have the health and means to minister to others in need. We try to be careful, that we don’t do our charitable deeds before men, to be seen by them. Our motives are not for attention or to be put on a pedestal. Our motives are truly to minister to others, to serve You, and be blessed spiritually and emotionally. When we do a charitable deed, we will not sound a trumpet before us as the  hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory from men. For they have their reward. But when we do a charitable deed, You tell us to not let our left hand know what our right hand is doing, that our deed may be in secret; and You Father will see in secret and reward us openly. This is our desire, to be led by the Spirit and obedient to Your will in doing good deeds. Help us, Lord, and bless us and the works of our heart according to Your will. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.

Let’s eat.

Spiritual Contracts

In the first year of his reign, I, Daniel, understood from the Scriptures, according to the word of the Lord given to Jeremiah the prophet, that the desolation of Jerusalem would last seventy years. – Daniel 9:2

Here’s where we are today folks. When you enter a legal contract, it binds the two parties to fulfill the terms of that contract. In Heaven there are legal contracts that, when fulfilled, allow the spiritual to impact the physical.

The bible tells us that Israel had been in captivity to Babylon for 70 years. When Daniel investigated the history of his nation, he found the prophecy of Jeremiah, which revealed there would be 70 years of captivity. He recognized that in order to release his nation from this captivity, there had to be a confession of sin on the part of the nation. Daniel took that responsibility. Although he couldn’t personally repent for his nation, he could acknowledge their sin and repent himself. When Daniel acknowledged this sin before God, something took place in Heaven. God heard this prayer and responded by sending His angel Gabriel to Daniel’s side.

We know from history that this was the time when Judah’s return from exile began. Daniel’s prayer of confession was the spiritual key to the physical manifestation of releasing the nation from captivity to Babylon.

Whenever you want to confront spiritual forces that have dominion over a situation, you must find the source of the problem. Once you find the source of the problem, you must take the necessary steps in the spiritual realm to release God’s power into that situation. For Daniel, it meant taking responsibility for the sin of the nation by confessing its sins and asking forgiveness on behalf of the entire nation. This allowed God to begin the process of releasing the nation.

Ask God to show you the source of the problems that may exist in your household, city, your work, or people you want to see freed to fulfill God’s purposes for their lives.

Quote of the Day

Give up your friendships, your possessions, your comforts, your ambitions, your reputation, your health and even your life, and you’ll find that God will give it all back to you, “pressed down, shaken together and running over” (Luke 6:38).
