Teaching About Darkness 02-13-22

_ 073014 ut1

Oh give thanks unto the Lord for He is good yes He is good and He is worthy of all our praise. Make the best of this wonderful day you have before you and bless somebody!

Today’s Prayer

Father, I come before you today on behalf of my brothers and sisters in Christ to say that we need mountaintop experiences – quiet times with You. We need Your inspiration and the in-filling of Your Holy Spirit to give us faith, confidence, strength, inner peace, joy and spiritual power! But Lord, our work for You has to be done in the valleys of life – in the “hum-drum ness” of our daily chores. Help us remember our mountaintops as You call us to work in Your vineyard, and to keep our joy so that others may see You in us. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.

Let’s eat.

Darkness

The Uncovered are described in the Word as In Darkness

1 John 2:9 –

If anyone claims, “I am living in the light,” but hates a Christian brother or sister, that person is still living in darkness.

1 John 2:11 –

But anyone who hates another brother or sister is still living and walking in darkness. Such a person does not know the way to go, having been blinded by the darkness.

John 3:19 –

And the judgment is based on this fact: God’s light came into the world, but people loved the darkness more than the light, for their actions were evil.

Acts 26:18 –

to open their eyes, so they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God. Then they will receive forgiveness for their sins and be given a place among God’s people, who are set apart by faith in me.

They are Darkness

Ephesians 5:8 –

For once you were full of darkness, but now you have light from the Lord. So live as people of light!

Psalm 107:10 –

Some sat in darkness and deepest gloom, imprisoned in iron chains of misery.

Luke 11:35 –

Make sure that the light you think you have is not actually darkness.

They will be in the Blackness of Darkness

Jude 13 –

They are like wild waves of the sea, churning up the foam of their shameful deeds. They are like wandering stars, doomed forever to blackest darkness.

Peter 2:17 –

These people are as useless as dried-up springs or as mist blown away by the wind. They are doomed to blackest darkness.

Quote of the Day

Life isn’t just about darkness and light. It’s about finding light within the darkness. ~Landon Parham~
