The Great I Am 01-10-20

Good day everyone. As I sat here about to move forward with this message, I got a prompting in my spirit to think about events that have taken place in my life the last couple months. We celebrated the birth of our savior and life cycle continued to go on around us. There were births and happiness, death and grief and people showing the love of God to those they came in contact with. Through it all, God never stopped being God and using whatever and whomever He wants to get His work done. I ask you today do you know Him? Do you love Him? More importantly, does He know you? Let the scripture of the day bless you.

Today’s Prayer

Dear Lord Jesus, on behalf of my brothers and sisters everywhere I ask that you would remind us that there is a time for us to pray in our closet and a time to come out and stand up for You. Now, as everything is being shaken; our values, our beliefs, our faith and the world is blaspheming You, our commitment to You is being tested. Please help us to walk closely with You each day, to redefine our faith, and to stand boldly for You. Keep us from a “deluding spirit,” that we may not deny You. Thank you for loving us in spite of our failings. We present this and all prayer in Your Holy name, Amen and Amen.

Let’s eat.

At Caesarea Philippi

Matthew 16:13-19

When Jesus came to the region of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, “Who do people say that the Son of Man is?” “Well,” they replied, “some say John the Baptist, some say Elijah, and others say Jeremiah or one of the other prophets.” Then he asked them, “But who do you say I am?” Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.”

A Good Confession; “Revealed by God”; a Divine Revelation v.17

Jesus replied, “You are blessed, Simon son of John, because my Father in heaven has revealed this to you. You did not learn this from any human being.

Thou art the Christ” A Sound Foundation; “On this Rock I will build” v.18-19

Now I say to you that you are Peter (which means ‘rock’), and upon this rock I will build my church, and all the powers of hell will not conquer it. And I will give you the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven. Whatever you forbid on earth will be forbidden in heaven, and whatever you permit on earth will be permitted in heaven

Quote of the Day

“Faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the Word of God'”(Romans 10:17). That is whence faith comes. It is not for me to sit down and wait for faith to come stealing over me with a strong sensation, but is for me to take God at His Word.
