THREE CLASSES OF GOSPEL HEARERS 03-27-17

(CLICK THE TITLE) Good morning everyone. This is the day the Lord has made. I will rejoice and be glad in it. Those are very powerful words. I’m about to shake up some spiritual thinking right now. The question of the day is very simple; how is your spiritual hearing?

Today’s Prayer

Father, I come before you this morning on behalf of my brothers and sisters in Christ to ask some probing questions. Could it be that if some of us think we have not met Satan it may be because we are going his way? Are we oblivious to the real enemy, and the spiritual warfare battling for men’s souls in the world today, ours included? Help us understand that Satan’s chief weapon is deception. Remind us that all it takes for evil to succeed is for it to gain acceptance from “good” people. Open our eyes before it is too late. Help us walk more closely with You, and to stay in Your Word daily, that we may have Your truth as my plumb line. Surely now is the time for us as Christians to stand firmly on our convictions. Help us because we are often anxious, confused and weak. I lay this out before You in the wonderful name of Jesus, Amen and Amen.

Let’s eat.

Three Classes of Gospel Hearers

Professors

Titus 1:15-16

Everything is pure to those whose hearts are pure. But nothing is pure to those who are corrupt and unbelieving, because their minds and consciences are corrupted. Such people claim they know God, but they deny him by the way they live. They are detestable and disobedient, worthless for doing anything good.

Put on without, nothing within Possessors

1 John 5:6-10

And Jesus Christ was revealed as God’s Son by his baptism in water and by shedding his blood on the cross—not by water only, but by water and blood. And the Spirit, who is truth, confirms it with his testimony. So we have these three witnesses—the Spirit, the water, and the blood—and all three agree. Since we believe human testimony, surely we can believe the greater testimony that comes from God. And God has testified about his Son. All who believe in the Son of God know in their hearts that this testimony is true. Those who don’t believe this are actually calling God a liar because they don’t believe what God has testified about his Son.

Received and enjoyed within Confessors

Romans 10:9-13

If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved. As the Scriptures tell us, “Anyone who trusts in him will never be disgraced.” Jew and Gentile are the same in this respect. They have the same Lord, who gives generously to all who call on him. For “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

Quote of the Day

God has wisely kept us in the dark concerning future events and reserved for himself the knowledge of them that he may train us up in a dependence upon himself and a continued readiness for every event.
