Good day everyone. I feel real good in my sanctified soul today and I implore you to dig deeper into the scripture that I’m going to put before you so you will not miss anything that God has for you.

Today’s Prayer

Father, You have said that as a man thinks, so he becomes. On behalf of my brothers and sisters everywhere I ask that You search us, Oh Lord, and bring our unconscious images and drives before Your judgment and mercy. Cleanse us with Your love, helping us to forgive as we would be forgiven. Let our thoughts be Your thoughts, that we may be re-made in Your likeness. Then our lives will take on new meaning, and others will be warmed by its glow, and Your glory will be shown for all to see. In the wonderful name of Jesus I pray, Amen.

Three Gospel R’s

Repentance, change of mind toward God

Acts 20:18-21

When they arrived he declared, “You know that from the day I set foot in the province of Asia until now I have done the Lord’s work humbly and with many tears. I have endured the trials that came to me from the plots of the Jews. I never shrank back from telling you what you needed to hear, either publicly or in your homes. I have had one message for Jews and Greeks alike—the necessity of repenting from sin and turning to God, and of having faith in our Lord Jesus.

Regeneration, new life from God

Titus 3:4-5

But—“When God our Savior revealed his kindness and love, he saved us, not because of the righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He washed away our sins, giving us a new birth and new life through the Holy Spirit.

Reconciliation, new relationship with God

2 Corinthians 5:16-21

So we have stopped evaluating others from a human point of view. At one time we thought of Christ merely from a human point of view. How differently we know him now! This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun! And all of this is a gift from God, who brought us back to himself through Christ. And God has given us this task of reconciling people to him. For God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, no longer counting people’s sins against them. And he gave us this wonderful message of reconciliation. So we are Christ’s ambassadors; God is making his appeal through us. We speak for Christ when we plead, “Come back to God!” For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin,^[e]so that we could be made right with God through Christ.

Quote of the Day

We’ve become too polite. We don’t laugh and cry with God. We’ve forgotten the excitement of the Good News. What greater sign of the extraordinary, lavish marvelous love of God than the incarnation! God so loved the world and all of us in it that God himself came to live with us as one of us! Is it so good that we’re afraid to believe it?
