Three Invitations 03-09-18

Good day to ya everyone. This is the day the Lord has made, we will rejoice and be glad in it. Grasp it as if it is your last and make sure that God gets the Glory. Insert a Amen right here! The word invitations dropped in my spirit so lets see what the manual has to say about the subject.

Today’s Prayer

Father, a bird doesn’t sing because it has the answer, a bird sings because it has a song! Do we have a song? Have we made You the Lord of our life? Is loving You, seeking Your will and being obedient to it, our song? Help it to be, and help us sing it each day for Your glory! We bring this and all things before you in the wonderful name of Jesus, Amen and Amen.

Let’s eat.

Three Invitations

Come and Drink

John 7:37-39

On the last day, the climax of the festival, Jesus stood and shouted to the crowds, “Anyone who is thirsty may come to me! Anyone who believes in me may come and drink! For the Scriptures declare, ‘Rivers of living water will flow from his heart.’” (When he said “living water,” he was speaking of the Spirit, who would be given to everyone believing in him. But the Spirit had not yet been given, because Jesus had not yet entered into his glory.)

Come and Rest

Matthew 11:28-30

Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.”

Come and See

John 1:43-51

The next day Jesus decided to go to Galilee. He found Philip and said to him, “Come, follow me.” Philip was from Bethsaida, Andrew and Peter’s hometown. Philip went to look for Nathanael and told him, “We have found the very person Moses and the prophets wrote about! His name is Jesus, the son of Joseph from Nazareth.” “Nazareth!” exclaimed Nathanael. “Can anything good come from Nazareth?” “Come and see for yourself,” Philip replied. As they approached, Jesus said, “Now here is a genuine son of Israel—a man of complete integrity.” “How do you know about me?” Nathanael asked. Jesus replied, “I could see you under the fig tree before Philip found you.” Then Nathanael exclaimed, “Rabbi, you are the Son of God—the King of Israel!” Jesus asked him, “Do you believe this just because I told you I had seen you under the fig tree? You will see greater things than this.” Then he said, “I tell you the truth, you will all see heaven open and the angels of God going up and down on the Son of Man, the one who is the stairway between heaven and earth.”

Quote of the Day

We need not all pray the same way. The important thing is to pray, to talk to God, and to be honest in our communication. We are different from each other in many ways. What is important is a relationship with God that allows us to be true to ourselves and our present circumstance, and to be free to share that with God.
