TRUE WISDOM COMES FROM GOD 10-13-18

Good day to ya everyone. Rejoice in the Lord always and again I say rejoice. It’s so wonderful to be lead by the one who created everything. He doesn’t require you to be perfect but He does require you to be available. Let that hit your spirit for a bit.

Today’s Prayer

Dear Lord, it seems that sometimes it takes a crisis to unite us as a nation before we turn to You. We have a bunch of well paid politicians holding the people of this country hostage by shutting down this government while they play their little games. When will people realize that we each need to include You daily in our lives in order to know that we can count on You in times of need. Help us all to continue to pray for all of the suffering families. Comfort those who have lost loved ones, and those who have been seriously injured. Help them to find consolation in this verse: “Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil; for You are with me; ” (Psalm 23:4) Thank You Lord, for our assurance and for Your help in our time of need. In the matchless name of Jesus we pray. Amen.

Let’s eat.

True Wisdom Comes from God

James 3: 13-18

If you are wise and understand God’s ways, prove it by living an honorable life, doing good works with the humility that comes from wisdom. But if you are bitterly jealous and there is selfish ambition in your heart, don’t cover up the truth with boasting and lying. For jealousy and selfishness are not God’s kind of wisdom. Such things are earthly, unspiritual, and demonic. For wherever there is jealousy and selfish ambition, there you will find disorder and evil of every kind. But the wisdom from above is first of all pure. It is also peace loving, gentle at all times, and willing to yield to others. It is full of mercy and good deeds. It shows no favoritism and is always sincere. And those who are peacemakers will plant seeds of peace and reap a harvest of righteousness.

Quote of the Day

Sin is like a sugar coated pill. We loved those pills at first as a child – they were so sweet- but when we had sucked the sugar off, they were so bitter that we wanted to spit them out. Sin’s pleasures first, then the remorse and pain.
