Words of Wisdom 06-30-19

Good day everyone and rejoice in the Lord always and again I say rejoice. As I sat here contemplating what the Holy Spirit is urging me to give you today, I got the words “this is not it”. I pressed in and came away with a revelation; this world is not the final place for those who choose Jesus. Let that sink in for you for a little while.

Today’s Prayer

Father I come to you today on behalf of my brothers and sisters in Christ with this request; open the eyes of our hearts so that we can see you in everything we do and say. Though the world we live in right now is falling apart, the life you have promised those who love you and have accepted Jesus as the Lord of their lives is eternal. Thank you in the matchless name of Jesus, Amen.

Let’s eat.

Do Not Love This World

1 John 2:15-17

Do not love this world nor the things it offers you, for when you love the world, you do not have the love of the Father in you. For the world offers only a craving for physical pleasure, a craving for everything we see, and pride in our achievements and possessions. These are not from the Father, but are from this world. And this world is fading away, along with everything that people crave. But anyone who does what pleases God will live forever.

Quote of the Day

We can say, “Blessed is night, for it reveals to us the stars.” In the same way we can say, “Blessed is sorrow, for it reveals God’s comfort.” The floods washed away home and mill, all the poor man had in the world. But as he stood on the scene of his loss, after the water had subsided, broken-hearted and discouraged, he saw something shining in the bank which the waters had washed bare. “It looks like gold,” he said. It was gold. The flood which bad beggared him made him rich. So it is often times in life.
