YOU ARE CALLED TO MINISTRY 03-23-23

_ 032314 Seeking God

Good day to ya everyone. We are once again able to bask in the fact that we are children of the most high God. That by itself is something to shout about. Give Him some praise right now!

TODAY’S PRAYER

Father, help us to be aware of Your presence all about us — in the beauties of nature, the smile of a child, the handclasp of a friend, the love of our families. Let us not take a “vacation” from this awareness. Your love surrounds us. Help us to come alive and reflect Your love, that others may see You in us. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.

Let’s eat.

You Are Called To Ministry

5 May God, who gives this patience and encouragement, help you live in complete harmony with each other, as is fitting for followers of Christ Jesus. Then all of you can join together with one voice, giving praise and glory to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Romans 15:5-6

The following information is needed by us all. The purpose of the Church gathering is to give Jesus Christ glory and honor, to make Him known to our neighbors and to the nations, and to move believers in Him toward maturity and ministry. The Church gathering exists to help you grow up so that you can serve.

There is no such thing as an inactive Church member. That’s an impossibility. Every Church member is active. Either we’re building up, or we’re tearing down. Either we’re a part of the team and helping, or we’re not a part of the team and hurting. In Matthew 12:30, Jesus said, “He who is not with Me is against Me, and he who does not gather with Me scatters abroad.” Every member of the Church is gathering or scattering. Every member of the Church body is working with the Lord Jesus or working against Him.

Let me say again, nobody is excluded. If you are reading this, this message is not “to whom it may concern”—it is to you. It has your name and address on it, and God wants you to serve and minister. You’ve been called into the ministry.

  • Do you consider yourself part of the ministry of your church body? Why or why not?

  • Who is an active member of your church body that has made an impact on your life? How can you seek to influence others similarly?

Write down different ways you have been impacted by people who tried to build up your church gathering. Consider what you have done to contribute to that effort.
